Memorie Sfiorate
La storia accade sempre come memoria. Essa risiede nel movimento interiore di chi, richiamando i fatti passati, li costruisce nel sapere presente.
Una memoria delle cose dell’acquasantano: voci registrate riferiscono di strade e mulattiere, pascoli, boschi e castagneti. Testimonianze, segni calati in un montaggio di suoni materici, registrati sul campo, la cui origine non è immediata, ma indissolubilmente legata al territorio. La stratificazione di queste tracce compone un’evocazione di paesaggio che costringe al ricordo, stimolando un processo di ricostruzione mnemonica, rammemorazione, intimo e singolare.
History is memory. It resides in the inner motion of those who, recalling past facts, incorporate them into present knowledge.
A memory of the Acquasanta area: recorded voices talking about roads and mule tracks, pastures, woods and chestnut groves. Stories, signs captured in a montage of material sounds, recorded in a field whose origin is not immediately identified, but still inextricably linked to the territory. The stratification of these tracks evokes a landscape that forces one to remember, stimulating an intimate and unique process of mnemonic reconstruction, reminiscence about past times.
